From tile donations to good causes to volunteer work, at Fireclay Tile we like to give back to our community, both near and far. Which is why we are thrilled about our partnership with Detroit Prep. With a little help from our slip-resistant glazes and Foundations Collection, this incredible school will have durable, beautiful tile that its current and future students will enjoy for years to come.

Established in 2016, Detroit Prep's mission is to, "provide a world-class, equitable education that will give all students a foundation of academic excellence and character development while fostering a love of learning and passion for exploring and fulfilling their extraordinary potential as learners, leaders, and world-changers." Which is a mission we can definitely get behind.
After only two years, they are one of the highest performing schools in Detroit, with students averaging 140% of the national average growth in year, which puts them in the 99th percentile nationwide!
Detroit Prep quickly outgrew their initial space and found their dream school only one mile away. This 110 year old building has great bones and room to grow as the school continues to add another grade level each year.

Detroit Prep chose 4x4 in Moonshine for one of their bathrooms, which is one of our color and size combinations from our Foundations Collection. This collection offers glazes that pair easily with other finishes and materials and at a price point that everyone can love.
