Sampling is the first step in the tile ordering process and likely the most important one. We cannot stress enough how much we want you to see our tiles in person so you can find the perfect match for your project. Not sure how our tile sampling process works?
We're sharing everything you need to know here.
Color Samples
All of our color samples come in a 2x4 size. If you are sampling our Glazed Thin Brick, the samples are half the size of a full-sized brick. If you'd like to see a full-size piece, simply reach out to your design consultant and we'll send it along.
Not working with a Design Consultant? Connect with one here.
Your first 5 samples are free (plus the cost of shipping) when you talk to one of our friendly Design Consultants (book an appointment here), and we'll ship your samples anywhere in the continental U.S. Seeing our colors in person, in your space is the best way to see which will go best within your space and pair with your other materials. We also recommend testing the color under various light (both artificial and natural) to make sure you 100% love it.

Shape Samples
Want to see a few shapes or sizes to help with the selection process? We keep stock of all of our sizes in a white glaze so that you can see the shapes in person before you buy. We currently don't offer shape samples online, but feel free to contact your Design Consultant to have them included in your sample order.
Please note: we do not keep all of our sizes in all of our glaze colors.

Handpainted Samples
Have you fallen in love with one of our handpainted patterns? Just like with our color samples, we recommend that you see one of these tiles in person before purchasing. We do not keep handpainted tiles in stock and a sample price is a dependent on the pattern.

Keep in mind that some of our handpainted patterns require four tiles to complete a full pattern like Padma. If you feel like you need more than one tile to visualize your project, we recommend you work with your Design Consultant on a rendering through one of our convenient Design Packages.

When Your Samples Arrive
When you're samples arrive, follow these 5 steps to get the most out of them so you can order the perfect tile with confidence.
1. Set the Scene
Bring samples to the place you’re planning on using them and looking at them in the correct light and orientation
2. Consider the Light
Check on your samples throughout the day as the sun’s angle changes, as well as under artificial light.
3. Get a Second Opinion
With over 100 colors to choose from, deciding which color is best for your installation can be a challenge. Our Design Consultants have seen it all and can help you narrow your choice.
4. Consider the Sheen
Sheen is how glossy or matte the tile is and it will affect how the tile picks up light and even the color. Sheen is specific to the color so be sure you love the sheen as well as the color.
5. Understand Variation
Due to the handcrafted nature of our tile, variations in color, texture, crazing, and finish will occur in different degrees depending on the specific glaze. Individual color variation is graded V1 (least) to V4 (most).
