Benefit Corporation & Stakeholder Philosophy

As a legal Benefit Corporation and Certified B Corp, we consider our clients, teammates, community, environment, and our partners in every decision that we make. But don’t just take our word for it, know that we certify ourselves against 3rd party standards and publicly share our impact in each of these areas. Our stakeholder-centric ethos is one of the reasons we’re excited and proud to come to work each day. 

Top 10% B Corp

We've held B Corp certification since 2014, and are proud to be the first tile company to earn it. Our current score of 127.7 puts us in the top 10% of B Corps worldwide.

Solar Power

Aromas' rooftop solar array generated 852,000 kWh in 2025, up 15% from the year before, now covering roughly a third of our total electricity use. Combined with an 8.1% consumption drop at Spokane, we're cutting emissions at the source instead of buying our way around them.

Fireclay Gives

Through our Fireclay Gives initiative and Paid Day of Service program, the team gave nearly half a million dollars and over 1,700 volunteer hours in 2025. Our scholarship for Black women pursuing architecture, run with the Architects Foundation, raised $58,559 this year, bringing the total since 2021 past $378,000.

Water Conservation

Company-wide freshwater use dropped 58.4% in 2025, keeping more than 2.1 million gallons in the ground. Aromas also cut its landfill contribution by over 130,000 lbs, a 20.4% reduction from 2024.

Safety Excellence

Aromas’s Ex-Mod safety rating improved dramatically, going from 166 to 81 in a single year. This decreased rating shows that our controls are effectively neutralizing operational risk. The team backed it up with 1,108 training hours and 582 hazards corrected across both factories in 2025.
