How to Seal the Deal with the Right Tile Sealer

Congratulations! You are now in the final stage of your tiling project. You have chosen the perfect tile, installed and grouted…and now you just need to Seal the Deal! While Fireclay Tile does not supply setting materials, grout, or sealers, we are always more than happy to guide you to find the perfect product to ensure that your material will last a lifetime.

Sealing your tile and grout at the time of installation and every year after is always a good idea. We recommend sealing your tile and grout annually to avoid staining and any discoloration that might occur from harsh cleaners and water–and fortunately, sealing is a simple process that doesn’t take much time.

We highly recommend using the brand StoneTech. They offer many kinds of sealers, including penetrating and surface, which can be purchased through Laticrete or your local hardware store. Impregnating sealers seep into your grout joints and protect against water and oil-based stains, which is also suggested for our tiles that have crazing (crackled detailing).

For specific sealer details including StoneTech’s offerings, detailed instructions, installation tips, video tutorials, and more please refer to Laticrete’s website.
