By Shannon Malone |

A great tile installation is all in the details.  Once you choose your shape, pattern, and color, it is time to decide how you will finish the edges of your installation for a clean, sophisticated look.  Here at Fireclay we have a variety of trim and architectural molding options to complete your design, no matter what your style.  Influenced by architectural details of the past, our Architectural Moldings add a finishing touch to any project. Available in both our Recycled Body and White Body clay, you will find everything from simple finishing touches, to ornate molding accents.

So what exactly is an architectural molding?  Well, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, "An Architectural Molding is a defining, transitional, or terminal element that contours or outlines the edges and surfaces on a projection or cavity, such as a cornice, architrave, capital, arch, base, or jamb. The surface of a molding is modeled with recesses and reliefs, which either maintain a constant profile or are set in rhythmically repeated patterns. Of primary importance in the design of a molding is the type of shadow it will cast."

Below are all of the sizes and designs we offer as part of our Architectural Moldings collection.  If you would like to add architectural moldings to your tile order, please reach out to your Design Consultant while placing your order.
