Color Spotlights

Color Spotlight: Flagstone

By Kali |

Ready to wade into the world of color? The blue-gray tone of Flagstone is a great place to start. Close to playing the role of a neutral, this subtle hue is a first step to using color to create a 'feel' that influences the mood of your space.

Flagstone

Flagstone is one of our chameleon colors, as it is gently influenced by its surroundings. It can read, gray, blue or green, making it a terrific partner for all types of stone and marble.

Try pairing it with a cool white to light gray to make its subtle color feel more pronounced.

You can compliment and highlight Flagstone's color with other soft green tones, as you can see from the serene bathroom below. (P.S. It's matte finish also makes it ideal for flooring).

Speaking of floor tiles, this matte glaze pairs well with other colors and neutrals alike, as you can see from the blends below:

This glaze is clearly a favorite underfoot. Consider playing with pattern in either a specialty shape, or with field tile as they did in the Sunset Idea House

Flagstone can work its magic in our handpainted tiles too. The shower walls of the Sunset Idea House did just that:

Flagstone's satin matte finish is an ideal soft backdrop for a rustic industrial feel, a beautiful collaborator with the reclaimed wood, and raw concrete accents:

Our subtle blue-green glaze, Flagstone, is beautifully paired with rustic finishes in this San Francisco restaurant.
