With a clear vision of what–and who–she was nurturing a space for, LaTonya Yvette transformed her colonial-style home into a retreat that emphasizes Black joy and rest. Designer LaTonya Yvette chose vintage-inspired tile to blend into her colonial-style rental home, using 4x4 Ceramic Tile in Sea Glass along the walls and shower surround and a floor of 3" Hexagon Tile in Clover with playful accents of 3” Hexagon in Eucalyptus dotted throughout.
After significant modifications throughout the decades, this Palo Alto building was lovingly restored to its 1927 glory with historically accurate materials, including 4x4 Ceramic Tile in Lapis and Huckleberry, Mini Cross in Blue Velvet, 1x1 Mosaic Tile in Lapis, Handpainted Old California 5, 9, and 10 in Cool Motif, Handpainted Almeria in Cool Motif, and finished with Quarter Round Trim in Lapis.
