Sometimes chasing rainbows works out. This bathroom went from bland to bright thanks to an installation of 8” Hexagon Tile in Lichen, Desert Bloom, Turquoise, Daffodil, Lemon Cream, Ember, and Koi along the floor with coordinating 3x6 Ceramic Subway Tile in Lichen and Desert Bloom in the shower and built-in niche.
Claire Thomas reached for Mosaic Tile to ensure that every square inch of her Hollyhock Cabin bathroom was filled with charm. Surrounding the clawfoot tub, 3x3 Ceramic Mosaic Tile in Haystack and Sunflower was laid in a golden plaid pattern and completed with pops of Crater Lake blue in this folklore-inspired Big Bear retreat.
Mokuyobi is known for its whimsical and colorful designs, so it’s no surprise that its flagship store is every bit as fun thanks to an immersive custom mosaic that greets patrons as they walk inside. 2x2 Mosaic Tile in Ember, Sorbet, Tuolumne Meadows, Lichen, Aegean Sea, and Daisy create colorful patterns and wayfinding signage alike in this nostalgic, one-of-a-kind design.
With two stripes of 6x6 Ceramic Tile in Lemon Cream, designer Emily Vallely-Pertzborn injected some sporty spice into this otherwise green wall and shower clad with 6x6 Tile in Clover. A soft pink floor of 8x8 Tile in Dawn rounds out the retro vibes of the basement bathroom in Emily’s Foxcroft Estate rental.
For a tropical vacation in the heart of Iowa, look no further than Foxcroft Estate’s basement Tiki Bar! With a colorful floor of Scalene Triangle Tile in Desert Bloom and Palm Tree, the rattan bar, lush wallpaper, and wainscoting with built-in bench clad in 6x6 Ceramic Tile in Lemon Cream has us craving a Mai Tai.
When Theron Humphrey built his modern Montana home, he made sure the bathroom was a spacious retreat for him and his pup Maddie. Designed with eternal summer in mind, LaTonya Yvette’s 173-year-old colonial-style rental home features a sunny primary bathroom that shines like a jewel box thanks to Glass Tile. Warm tones of 3x12 Glass Tile in Falcon Gloss across the floor complement the mustard wainscoting of 2x6 Glass Tile in Oriole, while a hand-painted mural of native plants graces the top half of the walls.
Talk about a bathroom glow up! Designer Sam Ushiro of Aww Sam stayed true to her home’s original 1979 style with handpainted Harvest Tile in two custom colorways across the floor for a retro-modern patchwork effect, 4x4 Ceramic Tile in sunny Daffodil on the countertop, and Glass Tile in Egret Matte in the incredible sunken tub.
