If anyone can create the most iconic hotel that ever existed, it’s Trixie Mattel–every room in the Palm Springs-based Trixie Motel has its own unique take on a midcentury Barbie Dreamhouse aesthetic. In the incomparable Pink Flamingo Suite, the kitchenette features a backsplash of Handpainted Sensu Tile in a custom colorway of Evening Glow and Clover that emanates 60s glamour (with matching side tables to boot!).
Come slay the night at the Trixie Motel, a newly renovated Palm Springs hotel that world-famous drag queen Trixie Mattel took from drab to fab. Trixie and designer Dani Dazey graced the iconic Pink Flamingo Suite with no fewer than four bespoke side tables clad in Handpainted Sensu Tile in a custom colorway, so guests will feel like they’re going to sleep in a retro inspired art installation.
Claire Thomas's Hollyhock Cabin won't just transport you to the alpine, but to another time altogether. This AirBnB-able cabin outside of Big Bear features a 1940's inspired kitchen with a plaid mosaic backsplash of 3x3 Ceramic Tile in Evening Glow, Kelp and Hunter Green and retro tile countertops that are roaring back into style.
