As we countdown to 2021, we're looking back on the best of 2020. With so many incredible commercial installations to choose from, it was no easy feat to pick just five! It's been a year of Glazed Thin Brick restaurants, monumental airport mosaics, colorful geometric patterns, and a whole lot of beautiful design that we're beyond proud to be a part of.
We're recapping some of our favorites here but for more, head to our Pinterest Board for even more highlights from this past year. Working on a commercial project? Get in touch with us!
Without further ado, here's our top 5:
#5 - Copt Amenity Space from Gensler, Baltimore, Maryland: Echoing the space's playful personality and mid-century modern details, a floor-to-ceiling handpainted tiles backsplash anchors the office kitchen and invites employees to engage over cold brew and nitro coffee. Click to see more!

#2 - Detroit Prep Elementary School, Detroit, MI: This reveal is especially close to our hearts. When Detroit Prep’s brand new building safely opened its doors this fall, students and staff were greeted with colorful tiles that work as hard as they do. We had the tremendous honor of helping Detroit Prep turn a 100-year-old building into a safe and beautiful place to learn through our Fireclay Gives initiative. Designed by critically acclaimed painter Laura Owens, this monumental ceramic Tile mosaic, titled I 🍕NY, features 80 iconic references that capture the spirit of NYC, including the Apollo Theater, the Stonewall Inn, a MetroCard, and of course, pizza.
