Tile Color Spotlight: Shell’s Neutral Nuances

Tile Color Spotlight: Shell’s Neutral Nuances

Natural textures, gentle light, and a nuanced palette create a calm and cozy atmosphere. With its barely there touch of cream and light glossy, crackle finish, our Shell glazed tile offers an inviting neutral backdrop.

Simply put, layering natural elements is the key to creating a warm, serene, well-designed space.  Neutral colors like ivory and cream allow you to focus on form and function more easily. The kitchen below, done in a minimal scandinavian style, has reflected this philosophy for centuries.

For a clean, contemporary look try a 2x6 subway style tile instead of the traditional 3x6 and install in a straight-set pattern.

Ivory hues, soft sage green and rough hewn beams create an easy country elegance.  Warmer tinted whites bring a pale radiance to a space, construct a foundation or a blank slate for unlimited color and style possibilities.

The organic, off-white shade of Shell is an ideal partner for all types of slab counter tops, from granite, to marble, to composit.

Layering whites can look stunning, the marble counter tops, white backsplash tile and creamy cabinets are not all exactly the same, but the similarity in hue makes the whole space come together.

Pure, uncomplicated materials like wood floors and counters really warm up a kitchen. Layer and blend these natural materials to add texture and make the kitchen cozier.

Adding some stunning originality, like one of our specialty patterns develops a focal point, without introducing a more saturated color.

White reflective glossy surfaces keep things light and cheerful, even in small windowless spaces.

Soft gray walls, nickle fittings, and white crackle subway tile backsplash are a sublimely classic design choice for any powder room.

One of the best features of this warm white hue—you will never grow tired of it. Neutral will always be a classic. White is invariably a great option for traditional interiors, below, the color of the tile takes a backseat, keeping the focus on the exquisiste architectural detailing in the bath.
