Subtle Sophistication

Subtle Sophistication

Tile shown: Chaine Homme in Gardenia and Ogee in Oyster Shell

With the launch of our 13 new Express colors we wanted to introduce a versatile selection of go-to neutrals that would pair well with any style.  We showed you our favorite ways to use our newest selection of Cool Neutrals, but now its time to talk about the softer side of the Express collection.  Our four lightest new hues, Gardenia, Oyster Shell, River Mist and Driftwood will offer your space a subtle sense of sophistication, turning it into an airy oasis with effortless ease.

We all want our space to look effortlessly cool, right?  With these soft neutrals its easy, just layer them together!  Gardenia paired with Oyster Shell feels fresh and modern, while adding hints of River Mist or Driftwood adds another layer of texture and dimension without feeling overdone.

We're tile obsessed, but this color scheme doesn't need to be ALL tile.  Choose your favorite tile hue and mimic one of the other subtle neutrals with a contrasting surface material.  We love how the kitchen below pairs a tile color similar to Gardenia with minty cool cabinets reminiscent of Oyster Shell.

Standard grays are always a strong contender in the world of neutrals, but with this new selection of subdued hues you can achieve the same amount of contemporary cool, but with just a little more character and warmth.  Don't get us wrong, we still love gray!  A soft gray hue will seamlessly complement this understated color palette.

To bring out the full potential of these airy hues, try pairing them with a primarily white interior–White cabinets, white countertops, a white ceiling.  No matter what the surface, white acts as a blank canvas and will make your subtle neutral shine.

To balance your light and bright look, throw in some contrast with dark hardwood floors or modern metal appliances.
