Now that we've talked about our favorite kitchen trends for 2015 its time to give the bathroom a little love. The bathroom is a small, contained space, allowing for endless tiling possibilities. Whether you prefer a subtle and sophisticated bathroom, or you're looking to add a bold splash of color and pattern, tile in the bathroom is the perfect way to express your creativity. To help you decide which bathroom style best matches your personality, we put together a list of our 6 favorite bathroom trends for 2015.
1.) Custom Eclectic Mosaic
Custom mosaics in the bathroom add major personality to the small space. The mosaic above was a completely custom project done by Bay Area mosaic artist, Delaine Hackney in a young girl's bathroom. Hackney blended custom Fireclay tile colors with a variety of other materials to create this colorful and playful pattern. The mosaic creates an instant focal point and highlights the crisp white bath tub. Please note that this mosaic is custom and we do not sell tile in this pattern.
2.) Monochromatic Pattern
A monochromatic color scheme can make a big statement in a small space like the bathroom. Take a cue from the bathroom below and try creating a blend of tile in a variety of shades of the same color. This bathroom adds a shower wall accent with our hexagon Tile pattern in alternating shades of green, creating a colorful focal point in the neutral bathroom. The hexagon accent wall is bordered by crisp white subway tile, emphasizing the vibrant tile colors.

3.) Handpainted Accent
In a small bathroom a little pattern can go a long way. Adding a Handpainted tile accent in your bathroom will add a ton of personality with a relatively small amount of tile. The bathroom below keeps with a cool, neutral color palette, featuring dark wood accents, marble countertops and soft gray walls. The addition of our Handpainted tile pattern, Moorish Knot in a custom color motif complements the neutral tone of the space, while adding a subtle pop of color and pattern.

4.) Bold, Black and White
Because the bathroom is contained, it gives you the opportunity to mix things up a little. If the rest of your home is neutral and subdued, try adding drama in your bathroom. One of our favorite bathroom trends is a bold black and white design. Black and white has always been a popular color scheme, but you can take this classic color palette up a notch by pairing black on black surfaces such as the black tiled shower with crisp white walls and fixtures. The bathroom below adds even more drama by adding vibrant pops of red and orange to the black and white color scheme.
5.) Contemporary Neutral
Everyone loves a great, neutral color palette in the bathroom–Neutral designs are timeless and won't ever go out of style. But neutral bathrooms doesn't have to mean bland. You can add contemporary flair by choosing a neutral tile and placing it in a more contemporary layout. The bathroom below adds interest to the subtle tile, Ultra Cream with Black Patine by installing the 2 x 8 tile in a contemporary vertical 1/3 offset layout. A slight variation of the standard vertical offset, 1/3 offset offers a more dynamic look that adds visual interest as well as the illusion of height.

6.) Colorful Glass
Using Glass tile in the bathroom always makes a statement. Glass is translucent, reflective, and provides highly saturated color. One of our favorite trends is creating a colorful glass blend in refreshing, water-inspired hues. The bathroom below lines the shower walls with our 2" hexagon Glass mosaic in a range of cool blue and teal colors, which are emphasized by a bright white tub and classic white subway tile.
