With a brand new tile body, 15 sizes, 6 mosaic patterns, and 32 exclusive colors, our collection of American-made Natural Press Ceramic Tile hits the sweet spot for price, volume, and limitless design possibilities.
What is Natural Press?
Simply put, Natural Press is a ceramic tile. The name Natural Press is borrowed from its manufacturing process, which is different from our Original Ceramic Tile–more on the differences between these two product lines below.
When Natural Press Tile is manufactured, the clay body is pressed into molds using a high-pressure pneumatic press rather than extruded like our Original Ceramic Tile. This technique allows us to bypass the bisque firing and move straight to glazing.

Because Natural Press Tile is only fired once after glazing, each tile requires less energy than extruded tile, saving us emissions and cost–and those savings are passed on to you!
How Much Does Natural Press Cost?
We’re thrilled to share that our Natural Press collection starts at just $18/SF for orders up to 500 SqtF, making sustainable American Made tile accessible to a broader market of commercial clients and homeowners who share the values that have earned us B Corp certification, Climate Neutral certification, and Employee Owned certification.

Natural Press is also equipped for high-volume orders, with extremely competitive volume pricing available through our commercial reps. This value-minded price point makes Natural Press an attractive option for large-scale commercial projects.
Where is Natural Press Made?
Our Natural Press collection is manufactured in our Spokane, Washington factory. We made a very intentional choice to continue investing in American manufacturing when we acquired our Washington Factory in 2022, and couldn’t be prouder of our commitment to sustain the legacy of USA-made production. Every single product we offer is made right here in the United States.
Not only is the tile manufactured in the United States, we also source all of our materials domestically as well–often as close as 90 miles from our Factory. This emphasis on locality helps us reduce transportation emissions, strengthens oversight into our supply chain, and supports the economy of our community.
What Colors Is Natural Press Available In?
Our introductory launch of Natural Press features 32 inspired colors, each available in both opaque gloss and satin finishes. These colors range from soothing neutrals to rich and vibrant reds, greens, and blues, and are a true celebration of American manufacturing.
With the choice of opaque gloss or satin finish, each color is capable of delivering a glossy pop, a sophisticated satin sheen, or a bit of both with a blended design of gloss and satin that reflects and diffuses light in a custom arrangement of your choice.

Each of our Natural Press glazes is categorized as Variation Level 2 (V2) on our variation scale of V1–V4. This means that the color variation is low to slightly noticeable, offering a consistent hue throughout a design–even on large-scale installations.
As always, custom options are available to match your brand or vision. Just reach out to our team to find out more!

Where Can Natural Press Be Used?

This versatile product line can be installed almost anywhere. Here’s a list of suitable applications for Natural Press:
- Backsplashes
- Walls
- Showers, including steam showers
- Pools
- Exterior applications in any climate
- Residential floors*
- Fireplaces**
*Natural Press glazes have a DCOF rating below .42, the standard threshold for slip resistance. It is not uncommon for a designer to specify a surface with a DCOF rating below .42, like a gloss tile for example, for a residential project, but we do not recommend Natural Press for commercial floors. An abrasive coating can be added for an additional fee.
**Natural Press tile is suitable for fireplace surrounds, mantles, hearths, chimney facades, wood stove heat shields, and non-functioning fireboxes. It is not suitable for functioning firebox interiors.
What’s the Difference Between Natural Press and Original Ceramic Tile?
The primary difference between Natural Press and our Original Ceramic Tile is the manufacturing process. Natural Press is pressed in molds, dried, glazed, and kiln-fired a single run while Original Ceramic is extruded (or cut) from a ribbon of wet clay, dried, kiln-fired, glazed, then fired a second time.
Both ceramic tile bodies exhibit the performance and workmanship that Fireclay is famous for. You’ll find the same hallmarks of artisan tile like slight size and thickness variation, as well as similar performance specifications.
Natural Press is available in 32 glaze colors exclusive to Natural Press Ceramic Tile and features a color variation from low to slightly noticeable, while Original Ceramic is available in 100+ shades exclusive to Original Ceramic Tile that range from low to very noticeable color variation.
If you prefer high variation in your glaze choice, choose Original Ceramic or blend multiple complementary colors of Natural Press. If you prefer color consistency, both Natural Press and Original Ceramic include low-variation glazes.

Can Natural Press and Original Ceramic Tile Be Blended?
Natural Press and Original Ceramic do not share the same thickness and cannot be blended in a design, like a checkerboard pattern for example. However, one could use Original Ceramic on a floor and a Natural Press on the walls, or a wainscot of Original Ceramic continuing to a wall of Natural Press (consider separating the two with a Trim piece in this case).
