Fireclay Tile at Sunset Celebration Weekend 2015

Fireclay Tile at Sunset Celebration Weekend 2015

Every year since 1998 West Coast-based lifestyle magazine, Sunset Magazine has held an annual Celebration Weekend at their iconic ranch-style Menlo Park campus.  This year, the publishing company said goodbye to their sunny HQ by throwing one last Sunset Celebration Weekend at the location before packing up and heading north to Jack London Square in Oakland.  And we got to showcase our tile at the event!  Everyone here at Fireclay feels very fortunate to have been a part of such a memorable event.  Not only did we have a great booth where we could share our love of tile and design with the Sunset crowd, but we also had our tile featured in the showcase "New Backyard Cottage" built by New Avenue Homes and designed by Orlando Soria–Creative Director of Homepolish!

Bringing our own showroom to life with a re-creation of our San Francisco HQ pattern wall and color sample display, the Fireclay Team had a blast introducing the brand to new fans, and offering helpful tile and design tips along the way.

The event itself took place all around the Sunset grounds, bringing the west coast magazine to life with everything from chef demos to home decor ideas and gardening tips.  One of the main features of the event was the New Avenue Homes "New Backyard Cottage", which was designed to provide viewers with ideas and inspiration for maximizing style and design in a small space.  Orlando Soria of Homepolish took it to a new level with a range of modern decor by a number of California-based companies.

The kitchen features our Chaine Homme shape in White Wash.  The tile looks fresh and modern against rich wood shelving, brass fixtures and decor, and the prettiest pink peonies.

The bathrooms goes even more modern with our Chaine Femme shape in Halite.  The cool, neutral tile is accented by sleek bathroom fixtures.

You can learn more about the New Avenue Cottage on New Avenue's website.  You can even enter for a chance to win a 7 day stay in the cottage when it moves to its new home in Truckee, California!  And don't worry, the Sunset Celebration will be back next year, just in a new location!
