From subtle to bold, we're sharing our favorite ways to pair colorful tile with white kitchen cabinetry. (If you're considering the flip side of this, you should check out last week's blog that covers more colorful cabinetry pairings).
Take a Subtle Approach:
Just a bit of color and contrast can go a long way. Paired with white cabinetry, even a lighter glaze color has a chance to stand out.
Pairing cool elements with cozy touches, this bright and inviting kitchen gets an airy uplift with our Oyster Shell glaze, a subtle green-grey that offers the perfect hint of color:

Mosaic sized tiles and our soft grey, Gypsum, provide the kitchen below with another point of interest in this light-filled kitchen:

Be Bold:
If you're the more daring type, going for a bold contrast between your tile and kitchen cabinets offers a whole lot of wow factor.
A swatch of saturated Navy Blue tiles in a straight set pattern offers a counterpoint to the white cabinetry and soft pastel details:

Going for a coastal look? Nothing says coastal quite like the combination of blue and white. We love how the vibrant blue tile contrasts with the bright white and dark wood finishes in the 2016 Coastal Living Showhouse.

Pattern Play:
White cabinetry can allow your tile (and other design elements) to really shine. From a traditional herringbone to the striped backsplash below, playing with both color and pattern in your kitchen is always a good idea.

Shape Up:
One of our ceramic tile shapes will certainly serve up something special in the kitchen.

Why stop at a single color? A blend of your favorite shades can lend itself to an inviting and lively kitchen:

Have we mentioned how much we love hexagon tiles in the kitchen? Because we really do. Let this classic shape stand out in the color speaks most to you.
Elana Jadallah, brought the sea inside her Hawaiian home with our color Aqua. This tropical blue gets the spotlight with rustic wood open shelving and sleek cabinetry:

Choosing to go for a more saturated tile color for your kitchen can seem intimidating, but when paired with lighter elements, it becomes much more approachable:
