Color Spotlight: Hunter Green

Color Spotlight: Hunter Green

We've been seeing a lot more of Hunter Green lately and it's not just because of the season. This rich green has been showing up more and more in homes over the past year. From kitchen cabinetry to accent walls, this color adds depth and interest to any space and the best part? It pairs so well with a range of other colors and finishes. One of our newest mattes, Hunter Green, plays right into this color trend that is bound to be a timeless one.

In the Kitchen:
Matte, darker shades of green have been making appearances in cabinetry and we love the effect; paired with white tile and you have one winning combination.

From modern to rustic to craftsman, Hunter Green tiles can work their magic in many styles of homes. The green tile below is complemented by warm wood and classic details.

For a look like the one above, chose 3x3s in Hunter Green with a white or gray grout to accentuate the pattern:

In the bathroom:
We're accustomed to seeing moody blues in a bathroom setting, but we like the idea of dark greens as an option. The bathroom below shows how well a darker green does the job:

Green tile is a beautiful way to bring the outdoors in and give your space a refreshing feel. The tiled wainscot tub surround below creates a very spa effect:

A matte finish (like Hunter Green) is ideal for bathroom flooring. Don't be afraid to mix color and pattern as they have done on the bathroom floor below:

For your fireplace:
A warm crackling fire and deep green just make sense. Whether you're tiling the floor around your fireplace or the surround, a bit of green in your living space can go a long way. In the home below, they really went for it with a matching accent wall and the effect is gorgeous.
