Color Spotlight: Add a Bolt of Color With Chartreuse
They say everything you really need to know you learned in kindergarten...
I, for one, will not put up a strong argument. I remember the very moment I fell for chartreuse, hard. It was 1961 and I was in kindergarten. The finger paints were out, bibs were on, and Mrs. Dragamoore was demonstrating how to mix yellow and green to come up with a magical color with an exotic, dream like name I had never heard uttered. Chartreuse. It rolled off the tongue like a poem, especially to a little kid just learning to speak English. I was in L O V E.
What’s not to love? Chartreuse is sophisticated, deliriously happy, a design choice that plays remarkably well with others. White, cream, grey, navy, charcoal, turquoise, soft sky blue, even brown smartens up when chartreuse is in the house.
