Tile and Vintage Fixtures, Exposed

Tile and Vintage Fixtures, Exposed

Tile Shown: 3x6 in White Gloss

If there’s anything we know about style, it’s that vintage never gets old. The look of exposed pipes, worn finishes, and quirky faucets have us design lovers geeking out, and this week’s post is no exception. Ranging from the artisanal to the eclectic, our favorite tile and vintage faucet pairings are a bathroom and kitchen come true (follow our Pinterest Board for more).

Handpainted & Hand-Me-Downs

Handpainted Tile Shown: Persian Star in Neutral Motif

This bathroom’s exposed copper pipes nicely frame this bathroom’s whimsical shower tile, providing just the right balance of form and function.

Handpainted Tile Shown: Malta in Cool Motif

This main focal point of this bathroom is without a doubt the sink. A strip of handpainted tile visually lengthens the ceiling while framing a pair of exposed pipes.

Classic Twists

A clawfoot tub, lush greenery, white subway tile, and a handsome faucet all make for a charming bathroom retreat.

Brick Shown: Cotton

White Brick and Tile are a duo we can always go for, and looks even better when the sleek contours of copper pipes ties it all together.

Tile Shown: 3x6 in Carbon

Vintage and tile both have a dark side, and this bathroom’s deliciously gothic aesthetic shows us how it’s done. Dark tile molding and exposed lightbulbs help contribute to its Victorian stylings.

The vintage look works for commercial spaces too. The modern 3x12 tile size pairs well with the vintage trough sick and fixtures at The Perennial.

Modern Love

Tile Shown: 3x3 in Sugar

The convergence of past and present is a common theme in contemporary design, and this bathroom gets it just right.

Tile Shown: 4x4 in Pewter

A warm neutral helps to bring an earthy element to this bathroom’s otherwise carefully calculated straight set pattern. But the very best part? The wonderfully unusual faucet and sink combo.

This bathroom's dark and sophistciated grid tile gets just the right amount of offbeat style with its vintage faucet and handles.
