3 Tile & Black Fixture Trends

By Pearl

Black fixtures are popping up in our favorite bathroom and kitchen tile installations, and we couldn’t be more on board. Set amongst intricate designs, funky swaths of color, and fresh blank slates, it’s true when they say that black really does go with everything. We’ve rounded up three tile and black fixture pairings to show how a little bit can go a long way (take a peek at our Pinterest Board for extra inspiration).

1. Handpainted Tile

Handpainted tile can often be the star of the show (with good reason), so rounding it out with matte black fixtures can help to ground your space. This kitchen’s slender faucet is just what this kitchen’s backsplash tile needs (reminiscent of our River Rock design).

From the wall sconce to the utensil rack, everything about the kitchen fits right in among this kitchen’s handpainted tile backdrop.

2. Accent Colors

Pink tile and blue tile make a chic showing in this modern home. And while the color makes a big impact, black showerheads and faucets help to tie it all together.

Exposed light fixtures add interesting contours to a space like the black outlines in this study, but a wall of playfully colorblocked tile wall helps to tone down the industrial look.

A decisive black outline and accents can also anchor natural variation in handcrafted tile like in this painterly sea green tile bathroom.

3. Black & White

Tile Shown: 4x4 in Frost

It’s no secret that black and white are a natural pair, but we still can’t help but get excited about these inspiring installations. This Swedish kitchen’s wall of classic white square tile enjoys a bit of drama with a black range hood and oven.

A subtle Escher tile pattern peeks out against the kitchen’s fresh and minimalist decor. A curved black faucet offers a subtly decisive focal point.

Exposed lighting makes another showing here in this uniquely lit kitchen. A wall of white subway tile keeps this cozy space feel bright and open.

Last, but certainly not least, Orlando Soria shows us how a classic pattern like Parquet tile can look fashion forward in black and white.
