    A granite sealer, and other stone waxes can be applied for functional and aesthetic reasons. But, a sealer is not necessary.

    No resins or petrochemicals are used. BottleStone does not off gas chemicals either in an inert state or during fabrication.
  • What type of gas is used to fire BottleStone? Is that bad for the environment?
    We use natural gas to fuel BottleStone’s ceramic firing. Our calculations suggest that BottleStone production produces 42% less Co2 that that is produced by the production of comparable Portland-based cement products.
