Fireclay’s Debris Series Recycled Tile, Express Series Quickship Tile, Crush 100% Recycled Glass Tile, Glazed Thin Brick, and Vitrail Series Handmade TIle products qualify for and may contribute to the following LEED Credits:
- Debris Series Recycled Ceramic Tile and Express Quickship Tile: Fireclay Tile’s Debris Series Recycled Tile and Express Series Quickship Tile is made with recycled materials found in the San Francisco Bay Area. 25% of the tile body is made up of post-consumer waste glass and post-consumer spent abrasive particles. 47% is pre-consumer granite dust from local gravel and quarry operations, locally sourced recycled porcelain, and other Fireclay waste that is ground up and used as grog. The remaining 28% is local clay from the Sierra Foothills. 100% of Debris Series labor and manufacturing is in Northern California. Debris Series tile has no chemicals or off-gassing. - Crush 100% Recycled Glass Tile: Fireclay Tile’s Crush 100% Recycled Glass Tile is made with recycled materials found in the San Francisco Bay Area. 100% of the glass body is made up of pre-consumer waste glass (a goal of Fireclay is to add a line of post-consumer recycled glass tiles) from the window and solar industries. 100% of Crush Recycled Glass Tile's labor and manufacturing is in Northern California. - Glazed Thin Brick: Fireclay Tile’s Glazed Thin Brick is our newest offering manufactured in partnership with McNear Brick & Block, California's oldest brick maker. McNear's thin brick is made from 30-100% locally reclaimed earth, and we then apply our beautiful, natural lead and VOC-free glazes to the brick. We fire the product in the most efficient roller hearth kiln available in America, and the result is the most ecofriendly sustainable glazed brick product available on the market. - Vitrail Series Handmade Ceramic Tile: Fireclay Tile’s Vitrail Series is made in the Northern California Area from natural clay materials. There is no recycled content in the product, and the product contains no chemicals or off-gases.
- MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2: Recycled Content
Fireclay’s Debris Series contains over 70% recycled materials (25% post-consumer waste and 47% pre-consumer waste) and can contribute to MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2 depending on the sum of recycled materials in the project. Crush 100% Recycled Glass Tile contains 100% pre-consumer recycled waste glass and can contribute to MR Credit 4.1.and 4.2. Glazed Thin Brick contains 25-95% pre-consumer recycled waste from locally reclaimed earth and can contribute to MR Credit 4.1.and 4.2.

Fireclay’s Debris and Vitrail products are manufactured in Aromas, California (95004).
Crush 100% Recycled Glass Tile is manufactured in San Jose, CA (95110).
Glazed Thin Brick is manufactured in both San Rafael (McNear - 94901) and Aromas, CA (Fireclay - 95004)
For projects within a 500 mile radius of our manufacturing facility, Fireclay’s products can contribute to MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2, depending on the combined value and percentage of construction materials and product manufactured regionally within the required radius.
All of our products emit low or no VOCs and will qualify for EQ Credit 4.1.
