LEED Credits

500 Mile Radius

All of Fireclay Tile’s products qualify for and may contribute to the various LEED Credits either due to our factory location in Northern California or our recycled content. For projects within a 500 mile radius of our manufacturing facility in Aromas, CA (95004), Fireclay’s products can contribute to MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2, depending on the combined value and percentage of construction materials and product manufactured regionally within the required radius. Major cities San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Reno,

Ceramic Tile

Our Ceramic Tile contains up to 70% recycled content for any color produced on our recycled clay body. This is a combination of pre- and post-consumer materials, including waste granite dust, recycled waste glass, and recycled porcelain. Our tile is lead-free and has no chemicals or off-gassing due to it being a high fired material.

Qualifying LEED Credits include:

  • MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2 - Manufactured in Aromas, CA (95004)
  • MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2 - Up to 70% recycled content (15% post-consumer and 55% pre-consumer) for any colors made on our Recycled clay body
  • EQ Credit 4.1 - Our tiles emit low or no VOCs
Ceramic Tile

Recycled Glass Tile

Our Glass Tile is made from 100% preconsumer recycled glass locally sourced from solar and window manufacturers. The gloss finish has no chemicals or off-gasing. 

Qulifying LEED Credits include:

MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2 - Manufactured in San Jose, CA (95110)
MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2 - 99% pre-consumer recycled content 
EQ Credit 4.1 - Our tiles emit low or no VOCs

Recycled Glass Tile

Glazed Thin Brick

Our Glazed Thin Brick is made from 100% post-consumer locally reclaimed earth, and its color is produced from all natural lead-free and VOC-free glazes.  

Qulifying LEED Credits include:

MR Credit 5.1 and 5.2 - Manufactured in Aromas, CA (95004)
MR Credit 4.1 and 4.2 - 99% post-consumer recycled content 
EQ Credit 4.1 - Our tiles emit low or no VOCs

Case Study: Stanford Graduate School of Business - LEED Platinum

Our tiles have been featured in many LEED projects throughout the United States for both their aesthetic value and contribution to LEED Credits. In 2011, Stanford's Graduate School of Business opened its new Knight Management Center, a LEED Platinum building designed by Boora Architects. Our Tile is featured throughout this campus including the Arbuckle Dining Pavilion and most of the professor kitchenettes throughout.
