Color Spotlight: Get Tropical with Island Flower

Our glass tile in Island Flower

It's that time of year again, the weather is warming up, well–atleast trying to, and just about everyone you know is on vacation somewhere tropical sipping Mai Tais.  Instead of hopping on a plane, we are easing the vacation itch with our favorite tropical glass hue, Island Flower, a rich, paradisal turquoise infused with exotic appeal.

The versatility of turquoise makes Island Flower a great option for glass mosaics.  You can pair it with a variety of other hues in similar color families, such as in the bathroom installation below.  This shower mosaic surrounds Island Flower with other cool, island-worthy shades, Forget Me Not, Icicle, Dusty Olive, and Plankton, for an eclectic, yet cohesive look.  An Island Flower mosaic is also a great way to turn your pool into your own little bit of paradise.

Although we love Island flower as a part of a mosaic, this exotic hue is just as great when flying solo!  If your space is in dire need of a splash of color, Island Flower will do the trick with gusto!  This cool and classic kitchen adds tropical flair by pairing a similar turquoise hue with an all white interior.  Reminiscent of water, the turquoise tile creates a refreshing aesthetic, leaving us dreaming of a warm day at the beach, preferably with a topical cocktail in hand.

If you love this saturated turquoise but feel our glossy Island Flower is a teetering too far toward the bright side,  Island Flower Matte could be your solution.  The matte finish subdues the rich turquoise color, creating a sophisticated and serene look, ideal in bathroom designs where a spa-like setting is desired.
